Looking for Experienced CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) $25+ Shift from 2pm-11pm Monday-Friday Job Description This role focuses on setting up and operating CNC mills and HAAS machines on a Monday-Friday 2nd shift schedule, optimizing CNC programs for efficiency and tool life, and performing precise in-process inspections. You will work with 3-5 axis machines, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and use CAM software, preferably MasterCAM, to support high-quality, production-focused machining operations. Essential Skills Prior machine shop experience. Working understanding of GD&T and basic G-Code knowledge. Experience with CAM software, preferably MasterCAM. Proficiency in using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and dial indicators. Ability to perform quality checks and inspections in a production environment. CMM programming and operation experience. 5-axis mill programming and setup experience. Experience with Haas machines. Experience in lights-out manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions. Ability to set up and operate CNC mills and other machines. Ability to work with 3-5 axis machines. Capability to engage in manual machine operations and efficiently load machines. Inspection experience is preferred. Experience with mill machining and CNC programming in a manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and other CNC machines in a production environment. Operate and program HAAS CNC machines to meet production and quality requirements. Optimize CNC programs to achieve low cycle times while maintaining good tool life. Use CAM software, preferably MasterCAM, to create, modify, and refine CNC programs. Work with 3-5 axis machines, including 5-axis mill programming and setup. Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and dial indicators to verify part quality. Apply a working understanding of GD&T to interpret and produce parts to specification. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate machining. Perform CMM programming and operate CMM equipment to support inspection activities. Engage in manual machine operations as needed and load machines efficiently to support production throughput. Support lights-out manufacturing by preparing machines, programs, and setups for unattended operation. Participate in quality checks and inspections to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards. Collaborate with the leadership team and peers during onsite discussions and interviews to review prior experience and continuous improvement opportunities.
