Senior CNC Programmer (Swiss Machining)

Seeking a Senior CNC Programmer - Swiss Machining to support a growing medical device manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Swiss-style CNC machines and multi-axis equipment. Direct Hire Pay: $83,000 - $104,000 annually Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Location: Anoka County, Minnesota Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple facilities in a regulated, precision-driven manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance available / open to relocation candidates. Duties: Program, set up, and operate Swiss CNC machines and multi-axis machining equipment Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using GibbsCAM and ESPRIT software Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and first-run validations Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling problems, and production inefficiencies Analyze machining performance, tooling strategies, and process improvements (feeds/speeds) Support new job launches, first article builds, and production readiness Transition stable jobs to operators while maintaining technical oversight Train and mentor operators and setup personnel on machining processes Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams on continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulated manufacturing requirements Support operations across both manufacturing facilities as needed Qualifications: 7+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment Strong hands-on Swiss machining experience required Experience programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis CNC equipment Strong understanding of tooling, machining strategies, and process optimization Proficiency with GibbsCAM and/or ESPRIT required Ability to troubleshoot complex machining and production issues independently Experience mentoring or training operators preferred Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills Equipment & Software: Citizen, Mazak, Integrex i-150 Software: GibbsCAM, ESPRIT This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
