Position Summary

Timesavers LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team on first shift. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling industrial machinery and mechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production schedules. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality equipment is built safely, efficiently, and accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines using hand and power tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
  • Install bearings, shafts, motors, belts, pulleys, hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper machine operation
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with machine testing and final assembly when required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring tools, and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Work Environment

  • At times, the noise level can be loud on the assembly floor.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach.
  • Frequently lift and move parts or assemblies up to 50 lbs.
  • Use of hands to handle or operate tools, equipment, or parts.
  • Frequently positions self to kneel, crouch, or stoop to look at machines or equipment.
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
  • Constantly uses basic tools to adjust and assemble machines.
  • Ability to interpret job orders.
