About the Role:
The 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations during the second shift to ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely. This position is responsible for leading a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining quality standards to meet customer specifications. The supervisor will monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity. They will also enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly during the shift, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities on the 2nd shift to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve operational goals and maintain high morale.
- Monitor equipment and machinery performance, promptly addressing any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to optimize workflow and resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production records, prepare shift reports, and communicate key information to management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety standards.
- Ability to work the 2nd shift: 3:30 pm - 1:30 am, Monday - Thursday
- Proficient in basic computer applications and production tracking systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification in safety management or supervisory training programs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced production scheduling software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage conflict effectively.
