Dana's designs are made in small, limited runs, often only producing one or two of each kind, slowly building a collection of core pieces along the way. The pieces are made with the help of local patternmakers and sewers, cut in high quality natural fibers. Along with her own collection, Dana also offers a limited selection of niche vintage pieces. Role Overview Dana Foley NYC is seeking an experienced, highly organized Production Manager to oversee the development and production process from sampling through final delivery. This role works closely with the Creative Director and serves as the central point of communication between design, patternmaking, local factories and internal teams to ensure timelines, quality standards, and production goals are consistently met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, solutions-driven, and has a strong understanding of garment construction, womenswear production, and the full product lifecycle. Responsibilities Manage production timelines from development through final delivery Oversee sample development, fittings, approvals, and production handoff Communicate daily with local factories, sample rooms, patternmakers, and vendors Track WIP, production calendars, deliveries, and deadlines across all styles Review garments for quality, fit, construction, and finishing consistency Coordinate sourcing and ordering of fabrics, trims, labels, linings Maintain tech packs, production notes, and development records Troubleshoot production issues and propose timely solutions Lead fit sessions and communicate corrections clearly to patternmakers Monitor production costs and help maintain budgets and margin targets Ensure all pieces meet brand quality standards Organize and manage sample inventory, trims, fabric libraries, and production archives Coordinate with local and overseas vendors, manufacturers, embroiderers, pleaters, dye houses Qualifications 3+ years experience in fashion production or product development Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, sewing techniques, and production processes Ability to read and understand tech packs, specs, and patternmaking terminology Highly organized with strong time management and communication skills Comfortable working in a small fast-paced, hands-on studio environment Proficiency in Excel Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Familiarity with NYC garment district Experience in luxury or contemporary womenswear preferred Ideal Candidate Someone with a strong appreciation for independent fashion, craftsmanship, and downtown New York culture who is excited to contribute within a small, collaborative creative environment.
