Concrete Batch Plant Manager Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Concrete Batch Plant Manager to lead the daily operations of one of our concrete plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete production, team leadership, and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring consistent production of high-quality concrete while optimizing plant performance and maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of batch plant operations, including production scheduling, material inventory, and quality control. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; maintain a strong safety culture. Monitor and maintain batching equipment, silos, and scales; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs. Manage raw material ordering, quality testing, and inventory levels (cement, aggregates, admixtures, etc.). Maintain accurate production records, mix designs, and quality documentation. Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Work closely with dispatch, sales, and quality control teams to meet customer delivery requirements. Control operational costs and meet or exceed plant performance targets. Conduct regular plant inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience in the concrete industry and/or a management role is preferred but not required. Strong working knowledge of concrete mix designs, materials, and ASTM standards is preferred but not required. Experience with automated batching systems (e.g., Command Alkon, Marcotte, or similar). Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, and be on-call as needed.
