About the role:
We're looking for a Material Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will oversee the planning, coordination, tracking, and control of materials across multiple projects and field locations in Texas. You will be a central point of coordination between early-stage project management, engineering, contractors, purchasing, accounting, business management, and material vendors. You will forecast materials, procure them, receive them, track them, transfer them, and reconcile them throughout the project lifecycle. You can travel between field locations in Texas.
The Material Manager plays a critical role in maintaining material visibility, minimizing delays, controlling costs, and supporting efficient execution of construction and operations activities. Will work with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Purchasing, Accounting, Business Management, and Vendors. You will report to the onsite Manager.
Location: Various field locations across Texas. Per Diem available

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain material tracking processes for multiple active and early-stage projects.
Track materials from requisition and purchase through delivery, receipt, storage, transfer, installation, and final reconciliation.
Work closely with field teams across multiple Texas locations to verify material deliveries, inventory levels, and site needs.
Act as liaison between project management, engineering, contractors, purchasing, accounting, business management, and vendors.
Interface with material vendors and suppliers regarding order status, shipment schedules, delivery issues, and returns.
Support procurement teams with expediting, discrepancy resolution, and documentation related to receipts and invoices.
Review packing slips, receiving documentation, and material status reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with identifying long-lead items and potential supply chain risks that may impact project execution.
