Our client, a leader in construction safety and project management, is seeking an EHS Coordinator 3 to join their team. As an EHS Coordinator 3, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting large-scale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: EHS Coordinator 3
Location: Apex, NC
Pay Range: $40/hr.
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may require occasional early/late work or weekends)
What's the Job?
- Oversee and enforce safety protocols on-site to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits of work areas, equipment, and operational practices.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for all site personnel.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; develop and document corrective and preventive action plans.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field, or a minimum of five (5) years of EHS experience in construction safety.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
- Willingness to obtain CHST, ASP, or CSP certification within 6 months.
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
