Duration: 6/15/2026 12/30/2026, potential to extend
Schedule: ~37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day)
Pay Rate: $50/hr
About the Role
A leading healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support end-to-end sourcing operations. This role will help develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead RFx events, negotiate contracts, and partner with internal stakeholders to drive cost savings, reduce risk, and improve supplier outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy & Development
  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned to organizational goals, budget targets, and operational requirements.
  • Collect data and conduct spend analysis across organization/division/commodity/supplier levels.
  • Perform market research to identify technologies and sourcing/supplier trends.
  • Build robust spend analytics to uncover savings and improvement opportunities.
  • Create negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.

Sourcing Management
  • Lead RFx processes and sourcing events and oversee the RFx lifecycle.
  • Negotiate contracts in collaboration with key stakeholders and departments.
  • Develop contract terms and conditions that minimize risk and meet internal service expectations.
  • Prepare and route contract documentation.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial stability, and market standing.
  • Determine optimal supplier selection methods for new opportunities and pricing.
  • Manage cross-functional activities with suppliers and internal teams.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with internal end users; establish consistent meetings to gather requirements.
  • Serve as an internal consultant, facilitator, and problem solver.

Supplier Relationship Management
  • Understand supplier product lines and roadmaps that may impact pricing and terms.
  • Gather supplier performance insights to support future sourcing strategy and events.

Professional Development
  • Maintain an annual development plan to build knowledge of healthcare industry and procurement best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 47 years of sourcing experience.
  • Strong project management skills (deliverables, milestones, execution against goals).
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and lead sourcing projects/events.
  • Comfortable leading meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare sourcing/procurement experience.
  • Masters degree in Business/Finance or emphasis in Supply Chain Management.
