The location in West Carrollton, (Ohio, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Production Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent.

Work Schedule:

This position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule to support continuous operations.

Employees work 12-hour shifts (e.g., 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)

Employees will rotate between day and night shifts every two (2) weeks

The schedule includes weekends and holidays as part of the regular rotation

Description:

Provide leadership for safety, personnel and production issues on shift for the Thermal Value Stream.

Create an engaging work environment, characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork and accountability.

Assist in investigation and implementation of leading and trailing safety-related items

Lead, coach, and develop hourly crew members in operations of the plant

Develop Standard Work Procedures and provide instruction

Daily contact and communication (verbal and written) with hourly crew members, production engineers, process engineers, and area managers

Drive for results by developing a strong working relationship with the production crews through communication, coaching, trust and accountability

Ensure employees' compliance with all safety and personnel policies

Supports and provides leadership for accomplishment of department, plant, and division goals

Works closely with the shift maintenance personnel and crews to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency

Utilize Continuous Improvement to produce results in cost savings, productivity and quality

Maintain the highest quality product standards with a good understanding of Proficy Systems and PI.

Maintain a working knowledge of the labor agreement and the employee work rules to implement and support their policies and practices. Documents and acts on non-conformances

Complete annual objectives in the primary areas of safety, people, cost, quality, and service

Problem solving and troubleshooting both equipment and people issues are crucial, with clear communication on the cause and corrective action necessary. Exhibits initiative to resolve these issues on shift.

Required Prior Accomplishments, Experience, Skills:

Paper or Chemical manufacturing experience and a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology preferred.

Leadership skills, computer skills, written/verbal communication skills and problem solving.

Continuous improvement leader who can energize and empower others

Sense of urgency and ability to engage people in a positive manner to move initiatives forward

Highly self-motivated, results & profit drive

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the desire to learn and the ability to be flexible & open minded
