Job Description:
Spherion is looking for a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various metal fabrication machines to create high-quality components for our industrial furnaces and ovens. This is a first-shift position in a steady, productive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and safely operate fabrication machinery, including:
- Shear: Cutting sheet metal to specific dimensions.
- Operating programmed equipment to create precise holes and shapes.
- Bending and forming metal parts according to blueprints.
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet exact specifications.
- Move, load, and unload metal sheets and finished components.
- Perform basic machine upkeep and keep the workspace clean and organized.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Must be able to read and use a tape measure with high accuracy.
- Must be able to comfortably lift 3040 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with Shear, CNC Punch, or Press Brake machines is highly preferred.
- Strong attendance record and a commitment to working the full M-F schedule.
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
