About the position: The General Manager is the leader of a site responsible for the overall direction and performance of tire collection, processing, and manufacturing operations. This includes overall management of all aspects of tire collectioncoordinating routes, personnel, equipment, and customer servicealong with grading, processing, maintenance, and inventory. The General Manager ensures site safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is accountable for P&L management, driving financial performance by surpassing financial targets, controlling costs, and enhancing productivity. The General Manager is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting sales and customer relations activities. This role also plays a critical hands-on leadership function, providing daily supervision, interaction, and direction for all employees at the site. Duties and Responsibilities: Champion the safety culture for the region and ensure all sites have plans in place to achieve targets for employee injuries, vehicle accidents, and fire safety. Conduct timely fire/safety checks and ensure compliance with standardized work practices, including SOPs and housekeeping checklists. Lead and manage all site operations, including tire collection, grading, processing, and maintenance. Full ownership of Profit and Loss (P&L) performance. Surpass financial targets by controlling production costs, enhancing productivity, and driving revenue growth. Analyze financial reports to identify trends, manage budget allocations, and make data-driven decisions to optimize financial outcomes. Learn and utilize Liberty's financial systems and reporting tools, which enable detailed tracking and management of revenue and costs across all areas of the operation. Oversee the implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure manufacturing equipment meets quality and productivity targets. Manage feedstock, end-product inventory, and outbound logistics. Direct sales and ensure operations align with financial targets. Required Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Business acumen with experience in leading change and achieving safety and business objectives.
