Maintenance Mechanic

Pay Rate: $33.00 per hour Company: Richardson International Position Summary The Mechanic / Industrial Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment. This role supports safe, efficient operations by maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform daily industrial maintenance and repairs on production and packaging equipment, including extruders, dryers, conveying systems, pneumatic systems, highspeed packaging equipment, cartoners, baggers, case packers, palletizers, boilers, heaters, material handling systems, chillers, compressed air systems, and HVAC Troubleshoot mechanical failures involving motors, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and power transmission components Complete preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance work orders Work with Operations to reduce downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement Follow all safety, food manufacturing, and plant procedures Other duties as assigned Required Education & Experience High school diploma or GED and one of the following: Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, ElectroMechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance Completed apprenticeship Relevant military maintenance experience 2+ years experience as a Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Preferred Qualifications Maintenance experience in food manufacturing or industrial manufacturing Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics Welding experience (MIG, TIG, stick) Experience with machine tools (lathes, drill presses, Bridgeporttype mills) Forklift, scissor lift, and articulated lift experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, and dusty manufacturing environments Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required Compensation & Benefits $33.00 per hour Competitive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and paid holidays Training and career development opportunities Richardson International is a global agriculture and food processing leader, with deep-rooted grower relationships spanning over 165 years.
