As the Supervisor for the TNT division, you will lead a robust workforce of approximately 60 employees. This is a high-visibility role for a leader who is equally comfortable talking strategy with the Operations Director and troubleshooting a press on the shop floor. You will oversee the complete fabrication process—from raw steel and aluminum to the final assembly of complex mechanical systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operational Execution: Execute production schedules and manage multiple manufacturing processes. Monitor workflows and assembly methods to lead process improvements.

  • Performance & Quality: Utilize efficient methods and appropriate staffing levels to ensure volume and quality goals are met. Analyze production data to detect and correct problems immediately.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training. Drive cross-training initiatives to ensure business continuity and hold teams accountable for production area cleanliness.

  • Compliance & Safety: Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

  • Administration: Prepare and maintain detailed production reports. Monitor staff performance and organize necessary interventions or coaching for improvement.

Technical Competencies

  • Machinery & Fabrication: Deep knowledge of welding, mills, lathes, and industrial presses within an aluminum and steel environment.

  • Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with MRP/ERP systems to track labor and materials.

  • Lean Excellence: Mastery of Lean Manufacturing to reduce waste; Six Sigma certification is highly valued.

  • Soft Skills: Expert-level conflict resolution, performance management, and employee engagement skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or an Associate degree).

  • Leadership: Seasoned background in supervising large teams (50+) in heavy manufacturing.

  • Physical: Ability to walk the floor and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Work environment is moderate-to-loud and occasionally exposed to humid/weather conditions.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year (Salaried).

  • Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Fridays as needed for overtime.

  • Technical Supervision: Oversee complex fabrication workflows involving mills, lathes, welding stations, and presses .

  • Operational Strategy: Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies to manage high-volume throughput and eliminate waste in the production cycle.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate labor and machine time to meet demanding production schedules for semi-truck components.

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation or workflow improvements (Six Sigma experience is highly valued here).

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all ramps and steps meet rigorous durability and safety standards for the heavy-duty trucking industry.
