This includes setting up the equipment, monitoring the molten metal pouring process, inspecting finished parts for quality, and performing basic maintenance on the machines. This may also involve trimming excess material, repairing molds, and documenting production details. Responsibilities: Operating the die casting machine: This includes loading dies, setting parameters like temperature and pressure, and ensuring the machine runs smoothly during the casting process. Monitoring and inspecting: Checking the molten metal flow, ensuring proper filling of the die, and inspecting finished castings for defects or adherence to specifications. Setting up and adjusting equipment: Installing dies, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring proper alignment and functioning of the equipment. Performing maintenance and repairs: Basic maintenance of the die casting machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing minor issues. Trimming and finishing parts: Removing excess material, grinding scrap, and preparing the parts for further processing. The base pay range for this position is $17-18 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
