Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting machining process development, programming CNC Swiss-style lathes, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality. You will work closely with operators and engineers, utilizing your expertise to support regulated industries and ensure production goals are met. In this role, you will be tasked with CNC programming, machine setup, process documentation, and operator training. You will analyze design prints, select appropriate cutting tools, and optimize cycle times to meet manufacturing standards. Your experience with Swiss style lathes, CAD/CAM software, and metal cutting tools will be essential to your success.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing process engineering experience, including CNC programming with Swiss style lathes
- Strong knowledge of metal cutting tool geometry and applications
- Proven ability to work from design prints, calculate feeds and speeds, and support process improvements
- Experience with CAD/CAM software, preferably SolidWorks
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to train and motivate operators and oversee multiple priorities
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related discipline
