5-Axis CNC Machine Operator | Gulf Coast Region
A world-recognized leader in advancedposites manufacturing a critical supplier to the U.S. Navy is hiring an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join a precision-driven, mission-critical production team. This is meaningful work: the parts you make support the U.S. submarine fleet.
The Role
You'll operate 5-Axis CNC machines (3-Axis proficiency also required) to produce high-qualityposite and polymerponents to exact specifications. This isn't a push-the-button job you'll read mechanical drawings, collaborate with engineers, program in 3-Axis, troubleshoot in real time, and own the quality of your output from setup to final inspection.
You'll also work with CNC lathes, waterjet cutters, and small mechanical milling machines.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Selecting fixtures, tooling, and attachments per job specs
Programming and running 3-Axis operations
Monitoring cycles, adjusting speed and tooling for precision
Catching and correcting errors throughout each job
Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and uniformity
Performing routine maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, tool replacement)
What You Bring
2+ years of CNC machine operation experience
Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret CNC software
Strong troubleshooting instincts and attention to detail
5-Axis experience preferred; technical certificate a plus
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
High school diploma or equivalent
Steady work history resume required for consideration
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on manufacturing role. You'll be on your feet throughout your shift, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in varying temperatures. PPE is required. Overtime, nights, and weekends may be needed.
