This leadership role is responsible for supervising yard staff, coordinating order fulfillment, ensuring efficient loading operations, and maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Responsibilities Supervise and lead yard associates to ensure efficient daily operations Coordinate and oversee the accurate preparation and loading of customer orders onto trucks and construction vehicles Operate a forklift and ensure safe equipment use by all team members (training available if needed) Provide professional and courteous customer service when assisting with pickups Maintain yard organization, cleanliness, and proper product storage Enforce all safety procedures and company standards Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed to meet demand Train and mentor new and existing yard employees Oversee cycle counts and inventory management Qualifications Proven experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction materials environment Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to lead by example Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively Good communication skills (bilingual is a plus) 2+ Years forklift experience Experience with concrete, pavers, retaining walls, or outdoor living products is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round Frequent standing, walking, and equipment operation Ability to lift up to 95 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Schedule Monday through Friday 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM Benefits 401(k) with match Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Stable, long-term employment with a family-owned company About Us Ideal Concrete Block is a fourth-generation, family-owned company established in 1923.
