Machinist (CNC & Manual) Precision Manufacturing 1st & 2nd Shift

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am 3:30 pm (MonFri)
• 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm 1:00 am (MonFri)
• Overtime available

Attention experienced machinists ! We are hiring skilled CNC and Manual Machinists for our client, a well established precision manufacturer known for complex, custom work, modern equipment, and long term career opportunities . These positions pay $22 $34 per hour and are temp to hire , with openings available on 1st and 2nd shift in Westbrook .

These are hands on , highly technical machining roles - not machine operator positions -ideal for professionals who take pride in tight tolerances , blueprint accuracy , and producing high quality components using CNC large lathes , traditional CNC machines , and manual equipment in a jobshop or lowtomedium volume environment.

• Set up, program (at the machine or offline), and operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or manual machines to produce precision components
• Machine complex parts to close tolerances using blueprints, GD&T, routers, and work instructions
• Perform firstpiece, inprocess, and final inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators)
• Edit and optimize Gcode, adjust offsets, tooling, and feeds/speeds to maintain quality and efficiency
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety and quality standards

• 35+ years of handson machining experience (CNC and/or Manual) in a manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar) and/or largediameter lathes preferred
• Solid understanding of cutting tools, materials, fixturing, and machining processes
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or apprenticeship strongly preferred
• Selfstarter mindset with strong attention to detail, quality, and continuous improvement
