Pay Range: $30.93 - 38.35 Hourly
The scheduled hours for this role are 7:00am-7:30pm, with days off rotating on a weekly basis. This rotating schedule provides a 3day weekend every other weekend.

As NFM's Forklift Mechanic -- Master Service Technician, you will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, and working on criticalAnd complex needs of the department. Ensure equipment machinery and mechanical is 100% operational and safe. Act as knowledgeable resource for the Service Technicians on all the equipment used in NFM facilities.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
Analyze: Inspect condition of all conveyors, and correct any potential problemsInspect: Routinely examine condition of all compactors, recycling equipment and resolve any potential problems that could cause downtime - maintain, diagnose, repair, and replace as neededReview: Responsible for the overall condition of all the above equipment. Perform and log regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing on all material handling equipmentProvide back-up: for the manager. Handle more complex service problems. Assign job orders and other tasks, ensuring the workload is evenly distributedCollaborate: Utilize the computer-based asset management system to accurately record all work performed

High school diploma or GED5 years of experience with repair of Material Handling Equipment requiredForklift Mechanic ExperienceLead, supervisory, or management experience preferredExperience with "Crown" manufactured equipment preferredMust have good working knowledge of electrical circuits, be able to work with wire diagrams, and be able to read and understand schematicsWelding Experience preferred (wire or stick) and use a torch (oxygen or acetylene) to cut and braze. Knowledge of shop equipment, e.g. hand tools, power tools, drill press, bench grinder, etc.Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needsValid driver's license and ongoing acceptable driving recordBasic computer skillsPre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check
