Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician Unitex is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Linden, NJ. Compensation: $27.00/hr to $32.00/hr. The salary range for this position is $27.00/hour to $32.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors. Schedule: To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract. Benefits:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines, to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and work with the team to resolve them promptly.
- Assist in repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or systems as needed.
- Follow maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory updates.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or a similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in the laundry industry.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial equipment.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for laundry equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams related to industrial laundry equipment.
- Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Solid attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work independently while following instructions and guidelines.
