About the Role
Snider Precision is a family-owned, AS9100-certified machine shop specializing in high-precision aerospace and advanced manufacturing components. We are looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to set up, program, and run CNC turning centers in a build-to-print environment.
We are open to:
- Strong setup machinists with some programming experience
- Senior machinists/programmers who can independently run complex parts
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (Doosan / FANUC controls)
- Program parts using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process checks
- Machine precision parts using aerospace materials (aluminum, stainless, titanium, Inconel)
- Optimize programs and setups for efficiency, quality, and cycle time
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience
- Experience with CAD/CAM programming
- Familiarity with FANUC controls
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Experience in precision machining (aerospace preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs
