Manufacturing Maintenance B 3rd shift

Chromalloy New York is looking for a self-disciplined, problem solver, with a take charge attitude, who can troubleshoot/ problem solve, is team oriented, and has a willingness to learn, to join our Facilities and Maintenance team.Job DescriptionPosition is 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00amMUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON 1ST SHIFT MONDAY to FRIDAY 7:00AM - 3:00pmThis is an hourly position with Local 475. Rate of pay is $29.70/hr with a 15% premium for 3rd shift hours.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to use various measuring, plumbing, and electrical tools. Example: power tools, dial calipers, micrometer, voltmeter and understand hand tools

Must have a understanding of pumps and motors

Must be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Must be able to assemble and disassemble machinery and perform routine maintenance on equipment without supervision

Must be able to perform daily checks which includes filter changes, gauge readings, drum swaps using fork truck and/or man lift

Must be computer proficient

Must be able to fabricate simple metal forms by use of gas and/or electrical welding

Must be familiar with painting, sheet rock repair and other minor construction task

Must be familiar with Mechanical SchematicsMust be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum lift floor to waist - 30 pounds

Minimum lift waist to shoulder level - 30 pounds

Minimum pull - 40 poundsFrequently: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.

Comfortable at being in a manlift 30+ feet in the air and working on roof of plant

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to moderate cold and moderate heat. Exposure to the production facility includes loud noise, fumes, and moving equipment.
