Key Responsibilities
The "Level 2" or general "Industrial Technician" role at Wiwynn involves supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring equipment reliability. Specific duties may vary but generally include:
Maintenance and Repair:Performing activities related to the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
System Support:Managing and troubleshooting systems like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) within the facility, ensuring accurate inventory control and streamlined material handling.
Collaboration:Working with maintenance, engineering, production, and IT teams to ensure smooth operations and effective preventive maintenance programs.
Documentation and Compliance:Creating and maintaining technical documentation, following workplace safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E).
Problem Solving:Conducting root cause analysis and providing corrective action plans for technical issues during manufacturing and quality control stages.
Physical Demands:Performing tasks that may require standing, walking, climbing ladders, kneeling, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs, in a warehouse or production environment.
Qualifications
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment, often with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience depending on the specific technician level.
Technical knowledge necessary for interpreting design drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
Bilingual proficiency (English-Spanish or English-Mandarin/Chinese) is often preferred for roles in the El Paso location.
