About the Team : The Platform Operations team, develops and supports solutions to help reimagine and elevate our engineering practices around cloud infrastructure, architecture, networking, CI/CD, IaC, and the developer experience. We help build, operationalize and support the platforms that are core to our development environment within our growing AWS ecosystem. We provide support and guidance. We are creative and value teamwork.

Profile: Junior to midlevel, but skilled engineer with experience in AWS event-driven serverless cloud environment; IaC, scripting using Python, JavaScript and solid communication skills and naturally curious about technology.

Must Have:

AWS resources such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch

CI/CD frameworks and automation

Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Microservices

Coding/scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js

Responsibilities: In this role, you will:

Design & Implementation (75%)

Build solutions using the best practices of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps

Continuously develop the skills required to work as part of the agile team in a poly-skilled development environment

Write code to automate the infrastructure lifecycle, create and support internal tools utilizing IaC, and be able to use CLIs

Partner with domain SMEs (Delivery Team Software Engineers, Security, Infrastructure, Network, Observability and Operations) to research, analyze and implement features and capabilities

Contribute to the development and growth of the Cloud Engineering Program, through thought leadership, design and implementation of tools and processes

Team Operations & Success (25%)

Implement cloud-first architectural solutions and best practices

Participate in agile scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily SCRUM, Demo, Retro) and contribute to team deliverables

Participate in peer reviews of software engineering artifacts

Maintain, operate and monitor Platform products and infrastructure

Assist in the identification and resolution of production and production-like issues

Ensure the team is adhering to development standards and security policies and procedures

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, cloud-native applications, data pipelines, and analytics platforms in high-availability environments

3+ years of experience developing modern front-end applications using TypeScript and React, with a strong focus on analytics dashboards and data-driven interfaces

Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Node.js (preferably with TypeScript) and Python, building APIs, event-driven services, and data processing components that power real-time and near-real-time analytics

Experience designing and maintaining reliable, scalable data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines to support operational and analytical workloads

Expertise in developing responsive, secure, and high-performance user interfaces using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Experience implementing role-based access control (RBAC) and secure access patterns to ensure proper data governance and protection of sensitive information

Experience with asynchronous programming, event-driven architectures, and telemetry/event-streaming patterns

Hands-on experience with real-time data monitoring and analytics platforms such as Grafana and InfluxDB

Strong experience with cloud-based data stores and query engines such as Amazon Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, and S3-based data lakes, including performance optimization and trend analysis.

Deep expertise in data modeling and transformation within AWS, leveraging services such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lambda, and S3 to build scalable, performant, and reliable analytical data foundations

Experience implementing Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions within analytics platforms, including integrating predictive models, anomaly detection, trend analysis, or intelligent insights into production systems

Familiarity with ML lifecycle practices, model deployment, monitoring, and operationalization using platforms such as SageMaker Studio, Amazon Quick Suite or similar environments

Deep knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch

Experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI

A strong focus on scalability, data integrity, reliability, and operational readiness

Proven ability to mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence

Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and effective communication skills

Nice to Have:

3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD framework, immutable infrastructure, automation, orchestration, and other modern DevOps patterns.

Technical knowledge of Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Microservices.

Strong knowledge and experience with distributed cloud infrastructure within AWS.

Experience working with AWS resources such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDB is a plus.

Experience building event-driven Cloud-based serverless applications.

Coding/scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good customer working relationships.

Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
