Our client is looking for injection technician. They are a manufacturer and fabricator of engineered composite materials, serving a variety of industries. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting injection molding machines to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and safety. You will prepare molds, adjust machine parameters, perform start-ups and changeovers, and monitor ongoing processes to maintain product quality. Your proactive approach will help support continuous production and meet customer demands.
In this role, you will:
- Set up and install molds, tooling, and auxiliary equipment based on production schedules
- Adjust machine parameters to achieve consistent part quality and cycle times
- Perform start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns following standard procedures
- Monitor production runs, troubleshoot defects, and optimize processes
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment readiness
- Follow safety procedures and document production activities
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams for process improvements
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting injection molding machines
- Strong understanding of process control and optimization techniques
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot molding defects such as shorts, flashes, and dimensional issues
- Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures
- Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Prior experience with routine machine maintenance
