JOB DESCRIPTION
A manufacturing company is seeking a Press Brake Operator to perform set-up, operation, and light maintenance of the machines and tools to safely and efficiently produce carbon steel, stainless, steel, and aluminum, and to ensure conformance to customer drawing, quality, and engineering requirements and specifications. You will work first shift Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with Friday to be used for voluntary and mandatory overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate production equipment to produce assigned products in accordance with instructions and standards using CNC and Mechanical Press Brakes and proper tooling
Complete equipment and tooling set-ups in accordance with company procedures, customer specifications, and quality requirements
Notify supervisor of any product discrepancies, machine malfunctions, or tooling issues
Record length of time, quantity of parts made or scrapped, and materials used for each job
Inspect parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork
Maintain work area in a safe clean, and orderly manner and return tools and samples to designated areas
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have prior experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to read and understand customer drawings and tolerances and use measuring tools and gauges
Must have the ability to understand and execute light machine and tooling maintenance requirements and detailed machine/tooling purpose, capability, and functions
Must be able to interact effectively within a team environment
Must be comfortable standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting 35+ pounds, and wearing all personal protective equipment when necessary
Must have effective communication skills
The ability to follow and comply to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements is needed
