OPEN JOB: Operations Leader (Production Supervisor) LOCATION: Vandergrift, Pennsylvania (30 miles NE of Pittsburgh) ***Relocation Assistance Available 3 Openings SALARY: $80,000 to $90,000 INDUSTRY: Manufacturing & Production Our client a leading manufacturing firm is seeking to hire an Operations Leader at their Vandergrift, PA Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost Control for their assigned work areas of the facility. This position is primarily a M-F daylight position but requires flexibility to cover off-shifts and weekends as needed. Premium pay is available for shift coverage and overtime. Ideal Candidate Experience in heavy industrial operations and production. Steel/metals, chemicals, etc. Essential Functions Facilitate the installation of continuous improvement projects to reduce the overall cycle time of material flowing through the plant Implement mission critical maintenance to increase reliability while reducing quality cost associated with line stops Supervise work and provide technical assistance to respective hourly personnel in the organization unit operations adhering to safety and housekeeping controls Make modifications to electrical systems based on reliability and production needs Assure availability of operations equipment for on-time delivery. Assure correct operation of equipment for quality assurance Works closely with inside and outside support personnel for mill activity coordination Create cross training opportunities to enhance knowledge of the coil finishing processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field Four years of experience in a manufacturing supervisor role Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with PLC's, motor control centers static drives and power distribution Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to learn and understand the intricacies of the Annealing and Pickling process and be able to capture and automate the learnings Demonstrate the ability to manage priorities & work schedule to consistently meet deadlines.
