Manufacturing Engineer / Archbald, PA

You will be a Manufacturing Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Archbald facility, which specializes in design, manufacturing, and engineering for both domestic and international customers. Our team produces electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications. Archbald is renowned for its awards and contributions to missile systems, nuclear instrumentation, and control products.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans for a variety of electronic, Cables & Harness and electromechanical assemblies, including material and process specifications.
• Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop process plans, tooling, support equipment, process flows.
• Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
• Apply lean and six sigma manufacturing principles to reduce cost and increase yields.
• Utilize strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
2+ years of experience.
Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Knowledge in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Basic skills in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks and 3D Printing prototyping.
Understanding the concept of Root Cause/Corrective Action.
Data analytics.
Familiar with Six Sigma.
