Were looking for an experienced Mold Maker/Toolmaker who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced injection molding environment. In this hands-on role, you will build, repair, and maintain high-precision molds and tooling to the highest production standards. Youll lead preventive maintenance, changeovers, troubleshooting, and full mold tear-downs handling disassembly, cleaning, inspection, precision fitting, polishing, and reassembly with expert care. Youll ensure molds are production-ready, monitor tooling performance to minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvements that boost reliability and uptime.

What You Will Do

  • Lead preventive maintenance, changeovers, troubleshooting, and full mold repairs, including complete tear-down, inspection, and reassembly to production standards.
  • Execute precision fitting and polishing of replacement components to ensure flawless performance.
  • Remove and install mold components with accuracy, ensuring every tool is production ready.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mold reliability, uptime, and maintenance efficiency.
  • Monitor and support production tooling to maximize performance and minimize downtime.

What You Will Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience : 3+ years experience with plastic injection mold repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Ability to read technical documents and work instructions, strong communication skills, and experience with CAD.
  • Knowledge: Proficient with manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, surface grinders).

Compensation : The expected base pay range for this role is $30 - $40 an hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
