What Youll Do
- As the Facility Maintenance Manager, you will lead facility maintenance initiatives, manage people and vendors, and execute facility projects to maintain and improve the overall facility and grounds.
- Lead and oversee personnel, buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure effective sustainment and preventative maintenance
- Hire, develop, coach, and retain maintenance personnel aligned with current and future business needs
- Coordinate, monitor and repair to ensure safe, efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
- Plan, manage, and execute facility-related construction and maintenance projects
- Prepare and manage maintenance projects to minimize operational disruption
- Negotiate contracts with service providers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Foster relationships and motivate suppliers and contractors to deliver high-quality work at competitive costs
- Lead initiatives that improve employee safety, environmental conditions, quality, delivery, and cost
- Drive timely closure of corrective and preventative actions
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on technical and operational issues
- Align facility projects and activities with organizational goals and expectations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and supporting labor in a large facility or manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally
- General construction knowledge, including electrical, structural, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Kentucky General Contractors License and familiarity with industrial building codes preferred
