Machine Operator for Supplements Manufacturing Plant
Hurricane company looking for a machine operator with some mechanical background. Hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional overtime opportunities. Please read entire posting and if interested, send resume to the email link provided.
Qualified candidate will be trained to operate and maintain industry specific machinery. Candidate will be working around food powder. PPE will be supplied.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Run, maintain and troubleshoot high speed supplements manufacturing equipment. Candidate would need flexibility to move between complex mechanical and simple/repetitive tasks, depending on company needs/workload.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines
Maintains safe and clean working environment at all times.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Mechanical Skills (including but not limited to):
Experience running machinery or manufacturing equipment, or mechanical background.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work safely. Maintain a safe work environment; communicate issues and take corrective actions when safety issues arise.
Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment, as trained and assigned.
Ability to overhaul, dismantle, and reassemble equipment as trained.
Maintain logs and update equipment and performance records.
Self-motivated, open-minded, intuitive team player.
Additional experience (not necessary) will come with greater pay:
Welding experience a plus. Experience working on pneumatic systems, conveyors, gearboxes a plus. Proficient with operating equipment, installation and troubleshooting a plus. Ability to lead and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and equipment drawings and manuals a plus. Experience with computer software such as MS Office and Excel a plus.
This position has a 90 day probationary period during which your attendance and work ethic will be closely observed. After a successful probationary period candidate will receive a raise.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 years or older.
High School diploma or GED.
