As a Machinist / CNC Operator you will set up various machines for use on various parts. You will operate machines and inspect parts to make sure they meet the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR. Must work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met.

- Complete daily hoist inspection, daily pallet jack inspection, maintain good housekeeping practices
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, hoist, CNC machines, manual mills/lathes, various gauges, air tools, welder, torch, copy machine, dent puller, presses, battery operated drill, forklift, etc.
- Utilize various hand tools
- Ensure parts are ready to be placed in CNC
- Operate various CNC machines s
- Salvage small parts
- Operate manual machines such as mills and lathes
- Complete manual thread repair
- Inspect parts to make sure they can be salvaged
- Look for ways to improve salvage process
- Set up machines to correct settings for each different part
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required with machining experience preferred
- High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
- Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and blueprints
- Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
- Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 20 lbs. constantly, and 21-40lbs frequently
- Work in hearing conservation area
- Preferred 5 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production
- Associate degree: machine tool and technology, welding technology
- Ability to obtain a forklift license
- Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Must have knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Must have the ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
