This role is ideal for hands-on technicians who thrive in high-tech lab environments and are passionate about hardware quality and precision testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage test station logistics including setup, teardown, relocation, and inventory tracking of lab equipment.
- Maintain and audit hardware inventory records across multiple test stations.
- Perform functional testing on various consumer electronic devices, focusing on identifying manufacturing defects and hardware inconsistencies.
- Execute detailed diagnostic testing across areas such as:
- Water-resistance and ingress testing on ports, buttons, and exterior fasteners.
- Display diagnostics for color accuracy, calibration, and panel performance.
- Connectivity tests for WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular, and 5G modules.
- Audio system validation for microphones and speakers (frequency and clarity checks).
- Camera module inspection for image quality and physical integrity.
- Button and input hardware testing for tactile feedback and force consistency.
- 2+ years experience in a hardware lab environment or device validation setting.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and lab instrumentation.
- Familiarity with consumer electronics (smartphones, wearables, tablets, laptops, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and documentation processes.
- Ability to lift and maneuver test hardware and equipment as needed.
- Experience using MXI or AXI X-ray inspection systems.
- Background in electronics, QA, or hardware validation.
