Press Brake Operator Job Description The Press Brake Operator is responsible for all functions related to daily production output. This position requires the use of computers, CAD programs, basic hand tools, and measurement instruments. Responsibilities Program, setup, and operate a CNC Press Brake, experience preferred on a Trumfp Press Brake. Communicate with production leads to meet demands and follow schedules. Inspect production parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machinery. Maintain a clean, safe work environment. Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety employees to ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. Essential Skills Experience in sheet metal fabrication. Minimum 2 years of experience in programming and setup. Ability to read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions. Knowledge of press brake tooling. Proficiency in using basic measurement instruments to verify component requirements. Strong verbal communication skills. Excellent time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to adapt and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to read a tape measure to the 16th inch. Blueprint reading is a plus. Available shifts include 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm, Monday - Thursday), 2nd Shift (4:00pm-2:30am, Monday - Thursday), and Weekend Shift (5am - 5:30pm, Friday - Sunday). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
