Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Assembly Supervisor to join our team at our Plano, TX facility. This position involves supervising the mechanical assembly department, which requires a high degree of skill and knowledge of processes involved with assembling electro-mechanical machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the mechanical assembly department, ensuring high skill and knowledge in assembling electro-mechanical machinery.

  • Assist with employee selection, performance review, and administration of company rules.

  • Manage department productivity and work quality.

  • Apply principles of lean manufacturing to improve processes.

  • Plan and schedule work using an Oracle ERP system, considering resource availability, required skill levels, delivery dates, and production control demand.

  • Read schematics to check equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience.

  • Experience in mechanical assembly or electronic technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge in continuous improvement, blueprints, mechanical assembly, and manufacturing processes.

  • Open to temp-to-hire opportunities with a lot of overtime and availability on Saturdays.

Work Environment

This role operates in a warehouse environment that is climate-controlled and fast-paced. The ability to maneuver around job sites, including small spaces around our equipment, is necessary. The position requires sitting and standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physical activities such as squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and reaching forward.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
