Job Title: Machine Maintenance Engineer Tech

Machine Maintenance is looking for an engineering tech on 1st shift. This role provides technical engineering support to die cast systems, equipment, and personnel. Supports die cast operations with technical expertise and helps die cast engineers and operators manage die cast processes for higher productivity. On occasion, trains other employees in machine maintenance procedures.

What will you do?

  • Assists with troubleshooting die cast equipment and programs.
  • Assists with maintaining process control and preventive maintenance.
  • Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities.
  • Aids in providing engineering support to the machine maintenance department for problems that require engineering expertise. Works to optimize manufacturing operations, such as minimum production of defectives, maximize machine up time, cycle time and reduce process variability.
  • Is proficient at and trains others in equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Performs and trains other to perform general maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares special reports as needed.
  • Attends any assigned or departmental meetings.

What will you need?

  • Have general mechanical aptitude and good problem solving skills.
  • At least 2 years in a finish (or similar) environment.
  • Prefer experience as a machine maintenance tech.
  • Proficient in use of personal computer and associated software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
