Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team of professionals in support of the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) Warehouse Support Services (WSS) Program.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Perform inventory control work, supporting a broad range of duties required to accomplish the mission of a large production, sustainment, and distribution center.
Count items' types, quantities, and conditions during annual inventories, location surveys, and physical inventories.
Conduct material handling, including examining and identifying materials, packing, and operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Analyze, evaluate, and revise command inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Receive, stow, select stock, and maintain accountability for medical equipment, Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), and related assets.
Perform maintenance and calibration of TMDE and other assigned equipment per manufacturer schedules.
Establish and document a monthly preventive maintenance and calibration schedule.
Record maintenance and calibration documentation in DMLSS for TMDE, NTVE/MHE, and Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE).
Notify the Government one month in advance of expiring calibrations requiring off-site laboratory services.
Maintain on-site calibration certificates traceable to recognized national or international standards.
Ensure ISO containers are protected from unnecessary damage and deterioration.
Safeguard container interiors from the elements to prevent deterioration of wood or steel floors.
Keep container doors and ramps closed except during packing/unpacking, maintenance, inspection, and other necessary operations.
Prevent undercarriage damage or deterioration by ensuring proper placement and storage.
Use proper MHE for container movement operations, including forklifts for containers with pockets designed for that purpose.
Ensure all doors and ramps are closed and secured before moving ISO containers.
Update DMLSS and HIMS condition code and location information when containers are moved.
Performs related work as assigned.
Job RequiremeNts (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years' experience as an equipment operator.
Ability to operate vehicles up to 80,000 lbs.
Previous United States military service experience is a HUGE PLUS.
Additional Requirements
A valid driver's license and valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with manual transmission and trailer endorsements, and the ability to obtain certification to operate a 4-30K forklift.
Must be able to work a light to moderate physical effort. Requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items. May require lifting and carrying weight over 45 pounds.
Must have the ability to read, interpret and apply reference material such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc. to accomplish and resolve problems; the ability to read and speak the English language, correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence, reports, and transcribed material; be proficient in US standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems and office automation systems, to perform a substantial range of warehouse support; and the knowledge of basic ethical principles, telephone etiquette, excellent communications and customer service skills and ability.
