Job Summary:

Provide uninterrupted Electric service to the service area. You will also be responsible for operating safely, efficiently and within environmental parameters; monitor and operate power plant equipment associated with steam generator and auxiliary systems and record operating parameters.

Essential Functions

Operate valves

Start and stop rotating equipment

Run fly ash and dumping pyrites

Monitor and maintain lubricating systems

Perform simple maintenance using hand tools

Issue and pick up lock-out/tag-out clearances

Act as a first responder to environmental spills

General plant housekeeping activities

Position involves working twelve-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime

Work outside in all types of weather conditions.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Experience:

Mechanical aptitude

Process experience
