Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Forklift Operator to assist in the operations of a national storage company located in East Syracuse. This role involves managing the movement and storage of containers, ensuring efficient and safe handling. Responsibilities Operate forklifts to load and unload containers from local delivery and inter-franchise drivers, as well as new container inventory, repositioning, and customer access. Follow standard operating procedures by printing routes and pulling ancillary items when assigned. Ensure all full containers staged outdoors during the day are moved indoors each night. Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of forklifts, including fueling and completing daily inspection reports. Notify managers of any necessary repairs for the forklifts. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in forklift operation. Proven experience in operating heavy duty forklifts with capacities between 5,000-18,000 pounds. Proficiency in computer use. Forklift Driver Certification or the ability to obtain certification.
