Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Supervisor to maintain a clean and efficient work environment. The successful candidate will oversee and direct the nightly output of the weld cell and trim assembly while ensuring all labor and production data is accurately recorded. Additionally, the supervisor will ensure compliance with safety protocols and lead by example in promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment on a daily basis.

• Oversee and direct the nightly output of the weld cell and trim assembly.

• Ensure all labor and production data is recorded properly every night.

• Ensure employees are wearing required safety equipment at all times.

• Ensure that cleanup is done at the end of the shift every night.

• Lead by example in promoting team concepts and continuous improvement.

• Assist in maintaining growth for the Business Unit consistently and annually.

• Provide leadership through coaching, counseling, mentoring, training, and performance management.

• Cooperate with other departments to fulfill assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience leading or managing a group in a production setting/environment.

• Proficiency with documentation and planning.

• Comfortable with 10 hours of overtime expected per week.

• Comfortable participating in the production process and being hands-on.

• Comfortable standing for 8-10 hours a day.

• Bilingual proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a supervisor.

• Experience working in a metals manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

Work in a newer, well-organized, and tidy facility. Although the building is not temperature controlled, it is equipped with new equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a long-term position based out of Mundelein, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
