Machine Operator Job Description Join our team as an experienced Chop Saw Operator, a role critical to our position as an industry-leading supplier of metals to the aerospace field. You will play an essential part in ensuring the precision and quality of metal products through expert handling and operation of chop saw machinery. Responsibilities Load metals into machines, ensuring correct fixture placement. Operate cutting units to measure and cut metals to the correct lengths. Inspect cut metals using measurement tools to confirm accuracy. Use handheld deburring equipment to smooth burrs on metal ends. Assist in shipping and receiving tasks and operate CNC band saws. Take initiative in a fast-paced environment, ensuring work is consistently completed. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading a tape measure. Strong basic math skills. Advanced computer skills for reviewing orders. Experience in chop saw and machine operation. Ability to operate a crane for moving large alloy pieces. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the manufacturing industry. Ability to read blueprints. Familiarity with grinders and grinding processes. First shift hours are 7am-3:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
