Who will you be working with?
- Our best-in-class Operations team manufactures hydraulic brake components. Here youll interact daily with the Operations Leader as well as the planning, methods and quality teams.
How will you make a difference?
- You will provide Leadership for all manufacturing goals, measures, action plans and events that support the values, mission and business plan of Wabtec Passenger Transit; specifically, in its goals to deliver key products on time and to have flexible capacity options that ensure responsiveness to changing market conditions.
- Responsible for the Manufacturing Teams performance to goals in the areas of safety, quality, production, continuous improvement, human development and environmental stewardship.
- Personal and team compliance with the Companys safety, environmental and personal growth standards.
- Responsible for the Manufacturing Engineering team, which owns the manufacturing process and continuous improvement activities.
- Promote a collaborative environment and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a manufacturing plan that supports the organizations business objectives.
What do we want to know about you?
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment.

What will your typical day look like?
- Main responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned, according to business needs):
- Safety: Demonstrates awareness of safety requirements in assigned work areas and wears appropriate PPE for assigned work. Creates a culture that places the utmost importance on safety. Recognizes potential safety risks and resolves with corrective actions or escalates appropriately to ensure safety of assigned teams.
- Quality: Responsibility for the team members and manufacturing processes that ensure the applicable quality requirement are achieved.
- Production: Oversight of the manufacturing resource allocation, production scheduling and capacity planning. Responsible for manufacturing KPIs, such as Efficiency, Utilization, OTD and OT. Document manufacturing processes and methods, as needed, to ensure quality, repeatability and transferability.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive Continuous Improvement activities throughout the organizations values stream. Develop Lean Manufacturing competencies of team members.
- People: Participates in interviewing and candidate selection for open positions. Establish clear goals and objectives for all assigned employees. Actively develops new skills in team members and manages employee growth. Actively manages assigned employees that do not meet expectations. Exhibits commitment to stated company values.
- Training: Accepts training and coaching from leadership. Leads training of new and existing employees.
- Environment: Participates in environmentally appropriate workplace maintenance habits, including 5S. Recognizes environmental risks in processes and resolves with corrective actions or escalates to ensure environmental stewardship within the facility.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$67,400.00-$96,000.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com . Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
