Skilled Machine Operators Only (CNC, Stamping) Job Description The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner. This role includes quality testing of the product, ensuring the correct use of raw materials, packaging of finished products, performing minor maintenance on machines, and completing all necessary paperwork. The operator must meet or exceed standards for quality and production while actively participating in a team environment by assisting colleagues with their duties. Additionally, the role involves assisting OP1's with parts by making labels and preparing them for shipping and receiving. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor machinery and equipment safely and productively. Conduct quality testing and ensure proper raw material usage. Package finished products and perform minor maintenance on machines. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely. Meet or exceed quality and production standards. Collaborate and assist team members in their duties. Assist OP1's with labeling and preparing parts for shipping and receiving. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC, Plastic Injection, or Press machines. Proficiency in documenting production, preferably using computer systems. Hands-on quality experience beyond visual inspection. Ability to read blueprints and conduct first piece last piece inspection. Experience with gauges and micrometers. Strong teamwork skills and ability to assist operators when needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor skills. Machine operating and hand tool proficiency. Quality inspection and production experience. Machine operation and assembly skills. The role is on the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, with the requirement to be open to working weekends. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
