MACHINE OPERATORMonday - Friday12:00 pm - 10:30 pm, mandatory overtime$15.87 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSOperate machinery and equipment safely, including overhead cranes, walk-lifts, and die carts.Use measurement tools such as decimals, fractions, calipers, micrometers, scales, and fixed gauges.Follow quality procedures and help maintain plant quality goals.Interpret engineering drawings, job layouts, and setup instructions.Adjust and install safety equipment; train others on safe operation.Set up and operate compound and progressive dies, including spacing and clearance adjustments.Determine when tooling needs maintenance.Meet production goals within designated timeframes.Complete all other tasks as assigned with limited supervision. JOB REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED required.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Strong math skills and ability to use basic measurements.Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Accurate completion of time sheets and production reports.Flexible to work overtime and different shifts with minimal notice.Reliable safety, attendance, and performance record.Ability to identify parts by catalog number and recognize product defects.Ability to meet press department production and inspection standards.Must lift/move loads of 40 lbs. or more and apply torque up to 125 ft. lbs.Minimum six months of draw or stamping press experience preferred.Mechanical Aptitude test may be required and used in evaluation.Must complete forklift and hand lift safety training within 90 days.
