Production Operator Job Description Join a company specializing in manufacturing high-quality precision wires made from materials like stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium. These wires are crucial for industries such as medical, aerospace, and automotive, where precision and durability are paramount. Responsibilities Operate and monitor two grinding machines (Grinding line 1 and Grinding line 2) on the bar side. Retrieve materials from the staging area and move products on and off the line. Shadow a skilled operator to learn and eventually run grinding machines independently. Assist with additional processes and machines on the production floor, including furnace and ultrasonic (UT) line operations. Maintain expected production rates and troubleshoot process problems. Identify, repair, or report equipment issues as necessary. Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues using various hand and power tools. Proficiency in reading a tape measure and performing basic math calculations. Experience in setting up and operating machines in a manufacturing environment. Capability to work alongside a lead operator to keep machines and lines running smoothly. Experience with blueprint reading, CNC machines, gauge and caliper use, calibration, and parts inspection. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to conduct root cause analysis. Strong commitment to dependability, core values, and ethical conduct. The position is on the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday, from 10 pm to 6 am, with training on 1st or 2nd shift. Occasional overtime on Saturdays is required.
