Machine Operator

Now hiring a Machine Operator in the Middletown, PA area! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Machine Operator to join our team in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in machine operation, or be mechanically inclined, and be comfortable performing repetitive and physical tasks. The role involves operating and cross-training across various machines that produce blocks, as well as inspecting products for quality assurance. Responsibilities Operate and manage multiple machines in the block production department. Inspect blocks for blemishes or deformities to ensure quality control. Perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods. Lift and move items up to 50 pounds consistently. Contribute to yard maintenance by picking up plastic used for wrapping palletized cinder blocks. Maintain reliability by consistently showing up for work and completing assigned tasks. Essential Skills Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently. Experience in warehouse, masonry, or construction environments. Reliability and attention to detail. Prior machine operating experience or strong mechanical aptitude. Comfortable with repetitive tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Work Environment You will be working in the grinding department, which is loud, dirty, and open, with fluctuating temperatures depending on the season. The work involves being around large industrial machines that produce cinder blocks. Safety attire includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops or shorts). We provide necessary safety equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves. The team consists of approximately 15 full-time employees and can have up to 20 temporary staff members, working under the supervision of the Grinding Department Supervisor. The shift runs from 10am to 10pm, Monday to Thursday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
