3rd Shift Conversion Dept Operator Job Description Join our team as a 3rd Shift Production Operator, where you will receive comprehensive training to operate equipment controls for safely loading and unloading rolls for packing, and winding/rewinding finished products. You will also prepare samples of finished products, print, and label them. Responsibilities Check operating controls and ensure the safety of equipment prior to operation. Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and notify the supervisor if any damaged, defective, or missing materials are found. Set up machines based on production orders. Label and pack finished products per work order instructions. Review work orders/drawings and resolve any conflicts. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. Comply with OHSA safety standards while performing job duties. Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards. Maintain lift cart certification. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction. Experience working with large parts or materials (4 ft+). Good documentation skills. Ability to understand oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally. Experience with an ERP or computer system for work orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with film/paper/cardboard rewinding machinery or converting machinery is a plus. Experience with bottling/food manufacturing machinery is a plus. Experience with hand tools, drills, saws, etc., is a plus. Some Microsoft Office skills. Good job tenure is required; candidates with 3 jobs in 3 years will not be considered. Why Work Here?
