Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift**

**Job Description**

The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for forming materials as required per order to meet scheduled requirements. This role involves setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes for established work while ensuring high standards of quality and precision.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate hydraulic press brake for established work.

+ Understand dimensions, tolerances, and angles of formed parts.

+ Calculate bend locations, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part being formed.

+ Verify all parts are present and correctly formed to specifications. Notify management if any parts are missing or incorrect.

+ Organize work area before and after processing, stacking completed parts properly on tables or pallets to eliminate double handling and work efficiently.

+ Keep the production board updated with the status of orders in the Press Brake department.

+ Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine within capabilities. Report all machine malfunctions to management.

**Essential Skills**

+ 1+ years of machine operating experience.

+ Ability to understand basic measurements.

+ Familiarity with blueprints.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Proficiency in basic math.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Experience with punch press and brake press machines.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience in fabrication.

+ Skilled in using calipers and hand tools.

+ Strong written communication skills.

+ Experience in inspection and production processes.

**Work Environment**

This position is located in a typical job shop environment that can be hot, dirty, and not ideally lit. You will work around galvanized steel, so comfort in an industrial setting is necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Addison, Illinois.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
