Tube Mill Machine Operator

Cleaver Brooks is looking for a Tube Mill Machine Operator to join our team in Thomasville, GA. The purpose of this position is to perform daily tasks related to Tube Mill material handling, as well as Tube Mill Machine Operation.

Responsibilities:

• Prior experience operating tube manufacturing equipment including, but not limited to:

• Forming end

• Brush machine

• Seam welder

• Heat Induction Unit

• Dimple press

• Demonstrated ability to set up and troubleshoot the above equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

• Working knowledge of quality standards and ability to detect deviations or defects early in the production cycle.

• Experience in tube identification, including material handling, sorting, and proper stacking of finished tubes.

• Proven understanding and consistent adherence to plant safety protocols and procedures.

• Familiarity with ISO procedures and the ability to follow documented standards and work instructions.

Key Qualifications:

• High school education or GED equivalent preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in heavy manufacturing machine operation, such as CNC machining, metal roll forming, or similar industrial equipment.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and ensure consistent product quality.

• Self-starter with a proactive approach to work, capable of staying productive with minimal supervision.

• Mechanically inclined, with a solid understanding of machinery operations and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new equipment.

Physical Skills and Efforts:

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. chest high on a regular basis. Must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, welding fumes, natural gas, fuel oils, and machine lubricants and/or oils. Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes and fall protection.
